The Disembodied Hand
From The Calvin and Hobbes Wiki
(Redirected from The disembodied hand)
The Disembodied Hand was a story that Calvin's dad came up with when Calvin wanted a scarier than usual bedtime story. Dad began telling the story, then he stuck his own hand up through his sweater, pretending to choke himself. Calvin, terrified, promptly passed out. Dad, satisfied that Calvin was in bed and asleep, turned out the lights and left wondering why he hadn't thought of that any sooner.
This marks the first time Calvin's dad first offered to read Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooie to Calvin, though Calvin hesitated instead of accepted.
