Something Under the Bed Is Drooling was the second collection of Calvin and Hobbes strips. The book was released in April 1988 and collects the strips from August 18, 1986 to May 17, 1987. It includes a foreward by Pat Oliphant. The Sunday strips were reprinted in color in The Essential Calvin and Hobbes, as well as the recently released The Complete Calvin and Hobbes. the title comes from the first strip in the collection, which features Calvin and Hobbes trying to find out if there are any monsters beneath their bed.
