The Salamander Incident was, like the Noodle Incident, an unknown event which Calvin is blamed for.

Significance and Role

It was referred to in a single weekday strip, which predates the introduction of the Noodle Incident. As such, it is even more mysterious than its counterpart. Unlike with the Noodle Incident, Calvin openly admits he was the perpetrator, albeit protesting loudly: "Temporary insanity! That's all that was!". Both incidents might either be related or the same.[1]
