The Motherly Alien was a friendly alien who, for some strange reason, lived on a hostile desert planet. Despite her ugly appearance, she was very hospitable, and she apparently welcomed visitors to the planet by giving them a meal. She brought Spiff a sandwich, and some lemonade. This alien is an alter-ego of Calvin's Mother.

She had a large pear-shaped body with scale lines with insectoid arms and legs. She seemed to have no visible eyes, but had a strong sense of direction, as she was clearly aware of Spiff's presence when she approached him.
