Chewing Magazine is a magazine about chewing gum to which Calvin subscribes, and according to Calvin, it is one of many chewing gum magazines. Hobbes expresses general disgust about the magazine.

Chewing has featured the following content;
- A product review of a special piece of gum-chewing apparel that is covered in brand logos.
- An article that states you should stretch before chewing gum and that failing to stretch is the leading cause of gum chewing-related injuries (even moreso that falling down while walking and chewing).
- An article detailing how to set up a mandibular fitness regime.
- A reader survey (Calvin filled it out to tell them that he was really old, spend inordinate sums of money on gum, and that his favorite flavor was "garlic/curry".
- Does Your Gum Deliver?, a ten-question magazine quiz that shows what your gum-chewing experience may lack.
- An article mentioning that the '92 spearmints are out.
- An article for a brand of gum called Hyperbubble.
- An article that compares the top five brands of chewing gum basd on flavor retention, elasticity, bubble capacity, and chewing rebound. It was accompanied by a computer graph which demonstrated compensation for various acidities.
