The Cerebral Enhance-o-tron is an invention made by Calvin. Its purpose was to enhance one's brain. It was used to enhance Calvin's brain when he was writing a report about Tyrannosaurus Rex being a "fearsome predator" or a "loathsome scavenger". The effects might wear off when the user goes off task, as he says he will make illustrations of a T-Rex eating people in the Natural History Museum before writing the report thus going off task and returning to normal. Apparently neither Calvin nor Hobbes thought of the idea and it was left as it is.

Appearance and effectsEdit

Like many of Calvin's inventions, it was made from a cardboard box, but with a colander connected to three wires. The wires served as input and output wires, and the third was a grounding string, which Calvin called "a lightning rod for brainstorms", so as to keep one's ideas grounded in reality. The colander served as a thinking cap to enhance Calvin's brain. As a side effect, Calvin's head swelled. The effects of this were temporary, however.
