Calvin In Twofold Insect-Size Form

Calvin In Twofold Insect-Sized Form is a minor alter ego of Calvin's. He appeared in a single Sunday strip.

Role and Description

Calvin had found himself mysteriously shrunken down to the size of an insect to an insect after having gone outside. As such, he was threatened by a normally harmless praying mantis, which tried to step on him. However, he was saved by a frog that caught and swallowed the mantis.

Calvin In Twofold Insect-Sized Form was analogous to Calvin imagining the insects' perspective on being crushed by humans. In turn, his rescue was analogous to Calvin placing a frog on his mother's plate, on the basis that "frogs are (...) friends".
